Fair play lads!
The oldest pub in Ireland has received a a serious accolade by making it on to the Lonely Planet’s list of the 25 most incredible bars in the world.
The pub is practically as old as the hills with an official dating of 900AD.
According to the pub’s website, during renovations in 1970, the walls of the bar were found to be made of “wattle and wicker” dating back to the ninth century.
The modest pub sits on the list alongside luxurious bars in Thailand, Havana, New York and Petra.

The guide praises the pub and states:
“Sean’s Bar, a classic Irish pub, has been in the hospitality biz since 900 AD, making it the oldest bar in Ireland, and the best place to enjoy a Guinness in front of a crackling fire.”
Sounds pretty decent right about now.
Cheers to our bros JOE.ie for spotting this one.
