This 12-year-old boy makes teddy bears for children in hospital

We need more people in the world like Campbell.

Campbell Remess is a 12-year-old boy from Australia. Three years ago he told his parents that he wanted to start creating teddies for children who are in hospital. It all started when he wanted to give gifts to the children but didn't have the money to do so. Instead he taught himself how to sew and spent his pocket money on the material. Now, three years on, he's aims to make 365 each year. He launched a campaign called Project 365, where he makes one teddy per day. So far in 2016, he's exceeded that amount and had made over 400 and raised $8,241 for fundraisers. Image via Project 365 by Campbell Writing on his Facebook page he said:

"My name is Campbell but everyone calls me Bumble. Im 12 this year. When I was 9 I asked mum and dad if we could buy christmas presents for kids in hospital when they told me it would cost too much I decided to make them. I decided that I would make 1 present a day which is 365 a year and give them all away. I have done this for two Christmases now and I love it. I make special bears to auction and fundraise for people too. This is my page to share my story and show you the things that I make."

He became the People's choice winner at Tasmanian Community Achievement awards a few days ago. What a little hero.
