The Siri addiction is real.
Whether it’s asking stupid questions (who can forget the 0 divided by 0 debate), looking for some light entertainment or trying to prove a point to a friend, there’s no doubt Siri has it’s random uses.
Now with Apple's latest iOS 9 settings, Siri users are about to become slightly addicted to the handy built-in app.
Along with a series of additional features to have you playing with your phone for hours, Siri has now announced five features that are about to make your life SO much easier:
Tracking those photos by date and time, or location:
Forget scrolling for hours to find photos from that great night out. You can now give the time and date of the night in question, or the location where you snapped that smile. Take a killer selfie for that profile picture? You can trace these too with a specific selfie search.
Locate your phone, without having to touch it:
Who else sleeps with their phone wrapped up in their bed sheets? The latest Siri u[dates means you can now call out to Siri (without pressing the home button) and it will call out to you from the tangle. No more sighs to hunt down the handset you switched to silent.
Work out your ACTUAL time of arrival:
We might tell a friend we’ll see them in 5 minutes, but Siri will know better. The latest update will give you the estimated time of arrival from door to door, without having to mess with traffic or map apps. No more angry dinner dates...
Suggest possible IDs for those unknown numbers:
One of life’s greatest irritations? When you miss a call from an unknown number. Now you can ask Siri to search through your mail and messages to find out who that unidentified caller might be.
It might not be precise, but it seriously limits the question of doubt.
Teach Siri to pronounce names probably:
Life is about to get that little bit handier. Siri will now let you teach it the correct pronunciation for some of those more unusual names in your phonebook. Or those Irish names…. Let’s face it ‘Grainne’ is not ‘Grainy’…
