The way Iceland celebrated their win over England is simply magnificent

How COOL is this?!

Cathy Donohue

Iceland has just knocked England out of the Euros, which has come as a shock to both viewers at home and many sporting pundits.

A tournament like this will always have highs and lows with Ireland experiencing a severe blow yesterday after the #COYBIG dream came crashing to a halt.

What’s really touched people tonight is how the Iceland team celebrated, on the pitch, with their fans.

Clapping and chanting, it was an intense few minutes with team and fans alike immersed in the joy of winning.

The country has a population of 330,000 and there’s no denying that getting this far and beating England will mean the world to them

JOE.ie editor Paddy McKenna captured a clip of the happenings on the pitch in France tonight and it’s pretty special.

Even if you’re not a football fan, this clip transcends sport and shows how great it is when you get something you never ever thought was possible.
