We all know that when it comes to getting married, the dress is one of the most important elements so we have to ask you: would you trust your man to design your dream wedding gúna?
We’re only asking because a bride from the Guangxi Province in China allowed her man to do all the planning for their big day and even allowed him to design her dress (brave woman).
We imagine she was more than surprised when she discovered that her dress would come with a veil that was a whopping 520 metres long. Check out:
The mystery bride and groom with the 520 metre long veil
Why was it so long? Well, her groom decided that he wanted to add a metre to her veil in order to represent every single day that they had been together (d’aww!). It’s slightly impractical but the sentiment behind it is pretty damn sweet, you have to admit.
Believe it or not, the veil was so long that wedding guests had to hold it as the couple exchanged their vows on a stand.
However, despite the great lengths (hah! Get it?) that this groom went to in order to show his affection for his blushing bride, he still didn’t manage to beat the world record for the longest wedding veil in the history of all time.
The current record was set back in 2011 by Elena De Angelis, who had to enlist 600 people to help her carry her wedding veil. It was an eye-watering 3.7 miles long – we bet she had some headache after lugging that thing around!
