Team Ireland has bagged yet another medal at this year’s Special Olympics World Games which are currently taking place in Los Angeles.
Swimmer Sarah Jane Johnston scooped her second bronze of the Games in the 100m freestyle, following on from her third place finish in the backstroke on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Galway woman Lorraine Hession won a fourth-place ribbon and achieved a personal best in her 100m freestyle while Dundalk sprinter, James Meenan set a lifetime best in the men’s 100m heats.

The Games will continue until August 2nd with athletes from across the country competing in 12 different disciplines.
