We’ve said of one or two GAA names in the past that if they were chocolate they’d eat themselves, (Paul Galvin, we’re looking at you), and now the GAA has paired up with Cadbury to launch their very own bar.
When he heard the news we had some suggestions based on those who play GAA, some nuts, a tough exterior but a heart of gold (caramel?), but it seems the bar will be a rebranded version of one already on the market.
According to the Irish Times, the Moro GAA bar will be available exclusively from Musgrave stores from April onwards.
The GAA bar will be a heavily branded version of the Moro currently on shelves
Musgrave, who operate Centra and SuperValu stores in the country, are sponsors of the All-Ireland football and hurling championships, while Cadbury sponsor the U-21 football championship.
The GAA’s stadium and commercial director Peter McKenna explained that the bars would offer prizes on the wrappers, as “Cadbury are conscious of not having consumptive prizes”.
