Summer is a time of relaxation. Though we do enjoy a nice workout here and there. The weather is warm, the days are long, and we feel a lot more energetic than those winter months.
So we love a good workout session. ESPECIALLY if that session is followed by some scrumptious post-workout nutrition. MOVEMENT+ and Avonmore obviously know what we’re talking about because they have teamed up to put together a wonderful workout/brunch event just for us. Well, you know, it’s for everyone, but that includes us.
The event will take place on Saturday, 20 July, in Herbert Park and it will comprise of two exercise classes, both followed by a deliciously nutritious brunch.
The first class begins at 10am and is a yoga class led by Laura Farrington, founder of Umbrella Wellness. This one is all about building strength through relaxation. That doesn’t mean you won’t feel worked out, however – definitely expect a good stretch and a bit of a sweat.
The second class is a little bit later at 11am and will be a HIIT class led by Ant and Ali Lynch. This one will wake you right up. You’ll power through squats, burpees, jumping jacks and other high-intensity exercises. We guarantee your appetite will be well and truly whet after this class.
The brunch options will include a selection of different tasty dishes such as porridge, granola, and scrambled eggs. The porridge and eggs are made with Avonmore Protein Milk, so you can get that protein boost right after your workout (ideal).
