It vasoconstricts the entire body, squeezing out all of that lactic acid so that you can feel good to go the next day and be ready for the next day training".So there you go, having a cold shower afterwards can actually make a major difference but at the same time, there's no harm in having a rest the day after exercise. If you've just finished a particularly strenuous workout, there are some other steps you can take to aid a quick recovery, including rehydrating with plenty of water and stretching out properly.
