Spoiler Alert: Celebrity Bainisteoir Comes To A Nail Biting Finish At Parnell Park

A gripping final was held last night in Dublin’s Parnell Park and Calum Best was ecstatic after being crowned the top Celebrity Bainisteoir.

The reality TV regular went head-to-head with Tipperary-bred model Roz Purcell in the much-anticipated final, where his team Moy Davitts nabbed a win one point win over Newtown Cashel.

More than 6,000 people packed into the stadium to watch the match, which ended with a final score of 0-09 to 0-08.

After the final whistle a joyous Calum, 31, said: “It feels so good to win. I’m just the face of this, the lads put in so much effort that no one sees. They’re real winners.”

Meanwhile a disappointed Roz Purcell refused to speak to the press last night and left the pitch in tears of disappointment.

However Newtown Cashel coach Dermot Washington said: “She went to all the training sessions even though she didn’t have to.”

The dramatic match will be broadcast on RTÉ One tomorrow at 6.30pm and we’ll definitely be tuning in to see Calum Best take the crown.
