Six Irish Sites Named in Lonely Planet’s Top 500

Not a bad number for a country this size! How many have you seen?

If ever you needed inspiration to get in the car and see a little more of our gorgeous home… 

Six Irish sites have been names in the world’s top 500 must-see attractions. The list was compiled by travel bible Lonely Planet.

Our highest spot was 103, which went to the breath-taking Giant’s Causeway in Co. Antrim.

Bru na Boinne, the World Heritage site in Co. Meath that’s home to Newgrange entered the list a 224.

Along the Wild Atlantic Way, Co. Clare’s Cliffs of Moher took spot 378 on the list.

Titanic Belfast managed quite a coup to appear, only opening its doors three years ago, while Trinity College Dublin and the Rock of Cashel completed the Irish entries.
