I hate to say it but Christmas will be here before we know it and I've yet to save any money for the holidays.
The festive season isn't solely about presents but buying something for the people I love is one of my favourite things to do during December.
However, a handful of gifts will cost a small fortune so trying to save some money before Christmas is key.
The last thing anyone wants to do is spend all of their December wages within one week so saving is something many of us need to do.
Putting a tenner or €100 away per week can make the biggest difference but how can we save when everything is so expensive?
One thing I'm planning on doing is cutting out takeout coffees as much as possible.
It may seem like a tiny financial change, but it can actually make a world of difference to your savings.
If you think about it, we're probably spending a fiver a day on coffee so why not put that into a savings account every day?
There are around 90 days to go until Christmas is here so you could save €450 if you cut out coffee from now until then.
It will be difficult to bid farewell to my Lorelai Gilmore coffee habits but having an extra few hundred quid for the holidays will be worth it.
