Toy Show star Saoírse Ruane is finally jetting off on her dream holiday.
Her mum Roseanna confirmed Saoírse and her family are heading to Disneyland in Florida. Roseanna posted a photo of her and Saoírse holding hands on the plane earlier this week.
"After 21 long months full of highs and lows, we are very emotional today to be actually on our way…." she said.
"A mix of emotions (for obvious reasons) mainly that Saoírse is doing good in her recovery and finally get to go on her amazing dream holiday."
Saoírse's mum praised everyone who made her daughter's dream come true, including Ryan Tubridy.
"We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this happen, @instatubridy @aerlingus @latelaterte @maldrondublinairport @premierchauffeurdrive @dublinairport and everyone we met along the way.
"We are even more grateful to we get to experience this amazing holiday through our brave kind soul Saoírse," her mum wrote.
"Stay tuned for lots of fun while we take you along with us to the lost magic place DisneyWorld Florida."
Saoírse's supporters sent her well wishes after the family flew out from Dublin Airport.
One said, "It is emotional for someone who doesn't know you all personally but I can only begin to imagine how happy you all are that your beautiful family are able to go on this amazing holiday of a lifetime. Enjoy it all you all deserve it so so much."
"So excited that you are getting this opportunity to make memories," one added.
Another said, "Have an absolute blast and ball on your holibobs. A more deserving family I've never known."
