Ryanair just launched a Christmas competition in aid of Childline and the prize is fantastic

The airline's latest competition is called "Name a Plane & Fly to Spain" and it's in aid of a very worthy cause.

On a dreary Wednesday, nothing could sound more appealing than the prospect of scheduling a holiday to sunny Spain in our diaries! This dream might just become a reality if you enter Ryanair's latest competition. "Name a Plane & Fly to Spain" will allow one lucky winner to have their name printed on the outside of a Ryanair Boeing 737-800 aircraft and a holiday to Spain. What an incredible memory to make with your loved ones and the proceeds from the competition are going to an amazing charity - ISPCC Childline.

How do you enter this fabulous competition? Simply text "Ryanair" to 50300 to donate €4 to ISPCC Childline and you will be included in the draw set to take place just in time for Christmas. Entries will be accepted up until 10am on Friday, 14 December. On behalf of Ryanair, the company's CMO said of the competition:

"Our ‘Name the Plane & Fly to Spain’ competition offers a unique prize up of a family holiday to Spain and the chance to have one of our planes named after you, while offering the perfect opportunity for families across Ireland to show their support for ISPCC Childline in the run-up to Christmas this year."

Christmas is an exceptionally busy time of year for Childline as the charity answers over 1,000 contacts every year on Christmas Day. ISPCC Childline relies on corporate and public donations for over 90 percent of its funding and as CEO John Church says:

"It's essential that we can keep childline open 24/7 365 days a year."

While Christmas is a time of year many children look forward to with great anticipation, Mr Church said that:

"Unfortunately, not every house in the country fills with Christmas cheer and excitement. Some children feel anxious, upset, lonely, or afraid. Thankfully, many contact Childline to share their worries and fears."
