Malahide Castle and Gardens is a beautiful attraction situated in the picturesque coastal village situated outside Dublin.
During your time there, you can take a guided tour of the castle which is one of the country’s oldest and explore the exhibition which documents its history.
The ornamental gardens surrounding the castle contain thousands of species and plants. There is even an Avoca in the courtyard for you to enjoy a cuppa and perhaps (if you’re feeling especially indulgent) a pastry!
In the village itself, there are plenty of restaurants and boutiques where you can spend your time… and money. If you fancy turning your day trip into a weekend away, there is also an abundance of B&Bs and a hotel.
Before heading off on your road trip, be sure to do your research and, if needs be, book accommodation in advance. For more information, check out Discover Ireland, the Malahide Castle and Gardens website or their Facebook page.
