The term 'Irish weather' has come to describe an ever-changing climate that completely ignores seasons and thinks that a shower of hailstones in the middle of a sunny day is completely normal.
Luckily, we've been spoiled over the last week or so with some regular appearances from that big yellow thing in the sky and according to
Met Éireann, the forecast is looking pretty good for this evening.
Forecasters are predicting that temperatures of up to 18 degrees could be seen in Ireland later today in the south midlands and east, while afternoon highs of between 12 and 15 could be seen in cloudier areas.
A little patchy drizzle is expected through the west and north but it will be much brighter in the southern half of the country, with "good spells of sunshine" over much of Munster and Leinster.
Doesn't look like we'll be needing those layers after all!
