We don’t need any convincing here in the Her.ie offices about how great Tom Hanks is. Not only is a nice guy, a brilliant actor and just an all-round legend but he is also a big fan of our beautiful sport, hurling.
Last night, as the USA took on Belgium in perhaps one of the best matches of the World Cup so far, Hanks and his family sat around, on edge, to watch it all play out.
It may be a little staged but we love the sentiment. What a hero.
