We’re checking out of office.

If you’ve hit that post-Christmas slump where summer seems like a year away and you’re only itching for a break to brighten your calendar and your mood well, we’ve just what you need.

Tucked away in the hills overlooking Cork city, you’ll find The Montenotte Hotel.

Not only does this luxurious four-star hotel have the best view for sipping a cocktail, but it also has a dreamy spa, moreish Panorama Bistro and the best part of all… a private cinema.

Yes, the Cameo Cinema Club holds movie screenings each night from 8pm, showing everything from classics like Dirty Dancing to cult-favourites like How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days and P.S I Love You. There is something for everyone.

And to be honest, the cinema alone is worth the trip down south. As intimate as a sitting room but with comfy cinema seats, a popcorn machine to use at your pleasure and the ability to sip drinks while taking in the action on the big screen, it’s an experience like no other.

What’s even better is that if you too, love movies, the hotel does a range of amazing cinema packages from time to time where you can book your stay, a three-course meal and a movie for a special reduced rate.

Live in Cork? Fear not, as there’s also a meal and movie package meaning you can still experience the cinema without having to stay overnight – with a two-course meal and a movie starting at €30 pp.

Rooms at The Montenotte Hotel start at €199 for two people sharing and The Cameo Cinema is strictly over 18s only.
