‘My best friend is demanding I bleach my hair for her wedding’

"The last one's a bit weird, but it's no big deal to me, I've worn colour contacts for Halloween." But it was her next request that crossed the line. "She requested we all get our hair dyed so we were all blonde. I'm brunette and have never dyed or bleached my hair," she said, explaining that her hair was extremely heat damaged and she didn't want to take the risk. Well, this didn't fly with the bride-to-be and she told her friend that she would be "fine" and that she would pay for the trip to the salon. The woman then told her friend that she could compromise and wear a wig but Zoe said that it would look "cheap" and "unnatural." The bridesmaid continued: "After more back and forth, she told me I should go home and think about the fact that I'm ruining her vision and that I’d be ruining the photos and wedding video." Of course, Reddit being Reddit people were quick to share their opinions in the comments and it was bad news for the bride. Another seemed to second this adding: "Zoe's demands go far beyond a wedding. You shouldn't be forced to make a major change to your look for her day and her photos. "If she didn't want a brunette, she shouldn't have chosen a brunette or should have let you know before you agreed to be part of the party." "Weddings have stopped being about the union of two families and become self-indulgent photo shoots. Back out of the whole thing. This is just the start of absurd demands," wrote a third.
