If you haven’t stepped outside your front door yet, just be careful as Met Éireann has issued a weather warning for severe gusts throughout the country today.
Ulster, north Connacht and north Leinster are said to be the areas that will be most affected by the high winds which came in overnight.
Rain is also expected later and temperatures are set to drop this evening, below zero in some parts of Ulster and Leinster.
While conditions are bad here in Ireland, across the water people are preparing for some of the worst weather Britain has experienced in 30 years.
