Met Éireann Issue Yellow Weather Warning As Temperatures Reach High 20s

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for today due to the high temperatures expected across the county.

According to the forecaster, temperatures are due to reach highs of between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius in parts.

The affected areas include Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Galway, Leitrim, Roscommon, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.

Any mist and fog this morning will clear bringing spells of sunshine and dry conditions although there is a risk of the odd isolated shower later in the day.

This evening, it will become a bit cooler with lowest temperatures between 11 and 14 degrees. Tomorrow is not expected to be as hot but will still be warm with sunny spells and temperatures of 24 degrees.
