It's been pretty miserable this week weather wise...

Rebecca McKnight

It’s been a pretty miserable week weather wise and we hate to break it to you but it looks as if the mixed conditions are set to continue over the weekend.

According to Met Éireann, any fog this morning is expected to clear but showers will become widespread throughout the day, some thundery. Highest temperatures will be around 12 to 15 degrees Celsius.

Tonight will see a few dry spells but there will be patches of fog and possibly ground frost as temperatures could fall to between 1 and 4 degrees.

Tomorrow will see a mixture of sunny spells and heavy showers with a risk of thunder and highest temperatures around 13 degrees. These are expected to drop in the evening and could cause frost in some areas.

Saturday will be much of the same with spells of sunshine and heavy thundery downpours which means there is a risk of spot flooding. Temperatures during the day will be around 11 to 14 but will drop overnight to approximately 3 degrees.

On Sunday, drier conditions are expected with spells of sunshine but there will still be a few isolated showers. It will also be a bit warmer, around 12 to 13 degrees.
