From meeting new people, experiencing new cultures to ticking off that city from your bucket list, it’s an unfortunate reality that women also plan with concerns for safety.

YouGov have pulled together a list of cities with the most unsafe transport systems. The cities were also compared for risk of sexual assault and violence.

While some of the cities are more understandably ranked on the list following publicised attacks on public transport, many will be shocked to see Paris and London feature just outside the top 10.
