Did you make any New Year’s resolutions?
Some people feel like a lot of pressure is put on them when entering the New Year. While you might have a few things in mind that you want to change or habits you want to break, January 1 is the day to do it, right?
Well, yes and no. While it’s great to want to change your life for the better, you shouldn’t feel pressured into doing something if you’re not completely ready.
And let’s be honest. Resolutions are all well and good but many of us break them… and we shouldn’t feel crap if we’ve made one slip up.
Apparently, this weekend will be the time that many people will break their resolutions, according to Deliveroo.

Looking at 2019 order data, the food delivery service said that a lot of people’s willpower will cave in this weekend to give into alcohol and sweets.
In 2019, Deliveroo data showed orders of booze made a significant jump on Friday, 18 January at 5.28pm, while people gave into the temptation of sugary sweets at 6.17pm on Sunday, 20 January with orders of ice cream and cakes.
Joe Groves at Deliveroo said: “Most of us stride into the New Year with solid intentions and we have the utmost admiration for anyone with enough will-power to be good all month. If temptation does get the better of you this weekend, at least you can have your fix discreetly behind closed doors.”
If you do give up on your resolutions, don’t beat yourself up over it, just start afresh the next day. No biggie.
