Tonight the Irish Christmas is officially kicked off as the RTÉ Late Late Toy Show returns to our screens.
Yesterday we whet your appetite in preparation for the greatest television event of the year and
listed the twelve things that are guaranteed to happen on the Toy Show. This evening we're offering to wet your appetite as well.
The Late Late Toy Show drinking game is now a thing thanks to
lizardking99 over on Reddit.
Kick off is tonight on
RTÉ One at 9.35pm so there's still plenty of time to get a few beverages, be they alcoholic or not, in and slip into something comfy before you sit back and enjoy two and a half hours of fun, toys, and Tubs making an eejit out of himself all in the name of television.
The Late Late Show Drinking Game:
What you'll need: TV
A few good mates, who will later reveal themselves to be terrible people
Copious amounts of alcohol
The rules couldn't be simpler; all you need to do is drink when...
Tubridy says that there's "one for everyone in the audience" (obviously)(You also have to stand, raise your glass and cheer loudly)
One of the children is so nervous they can't talk
One of the kids on the bikes and trikes crashes
The toy breaks or won't work
Tubridy completely brushes off the child in order to move the show along
There is a tecnical difficulty (Mic won't work, cameras on screen, etc.)
One of the kids has a go at Tubridy
Tubridy makes a joke that goes over a child's head
Lego is features on the show
There are any slutty dolls featured
There is a wandering child on screen
One of the children featured seems bound to become a youtube sensation
Charity is mentioned
There are any androgynous children featured
Any celebrities are featured
Tubridy refers to any toy by anything other than its proper name
The recession is mentioned (be very careful with this one; you may end up in casualty)
Unusual children (laughing)
Children say inappropriate things
Special cases:
If a toy is featured that someone in the room has/had as a child, everyone but that person drinks. If more than one person has/had the toy everyone drinks
If, during the ad breaks, the Coca-Cola trucks appear on-screen
