This is how many Irish people go to a wedding without a gift

Poor form, poor form.

There we were, in our innocence, thinking there is no way on Earth that any self-respecting Irish person could turn up to a wedding with their arms swinging... but we were wrong. According to this year's Slice of Ireland 2017 survey, just under one in five of you have attended a wedding without bringing a gift for the happy couple. Yep, it's true. A full 18 per cent of those surveyed have taken to the free bar and availed of those delicious canapés - not to mention the beef and/or the salmon - without even bringing so much as a card to the happy couple. We're not here to judge, but if you're in that 18 per cent please know... arse to that... we absolutely do judge you. Sort it out. This year's Slice of Ireland survey, conducted across all of the Maximum Media sites including Her, gave us plenty of insight to what you love, and hate, about living in Ireland as 2018 draws closer and closer. We found out that you all see Barack Obama as the 'voice of a generation,' closely followed by Blindboy and Leo Varadkar, while your favourite Irish accent comes all the way from... Donegal. That's right, the North-West lilt is adored up and down the country.
