People aren't happy about the latest Instagram update.
Instagram has changed its app so that users scroll from side-to-side rather than up and down, in a large overhaul of the social media platform's interface.
Users across the globe are reporting the app switched within the last hour.
"Introducing a new way to move through posts," a pop-up message introducing the new feature reads. "Tap through posts, just like you tap through stories."
You now click through posts in a similar way to how Instagram Stories have previously worked, rather than the traditional up-and-down swiping movement.
The update has been rolled out for a large number of Instagram users at once on Thursday afternoon. Those who have yet to experience any change can expect to be part of a gradual roll out in the coming days.
Many social media users weren't happy about the abrupt change and took to Twitter to voice their complaints.
