If you’re at all uneasy about taking to the skies for travel, chances are you won’t be too impressed with this footage.
Passenger Jack Perkins was filming a line of planes stacked up during a ground hold in Atlanta, Georgia, earlier this week, when his camera caught the moment lightning stuck a 737.
Perkins was in a nearby plane when he caught the moment on his phone, but he didn’t even realise what had happened until he watched the footage back later on.
While it looks terrifying, commercial planes are designed to withstand lightning strikes and do so every day.
