The follow-up novel to Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird will go on sale around the world from midnight tonight.

The hugely anticipated book Go Set a Watchman is said to have been written by Lee in the 1950s but was only rediscovered in autumn 2014.

According to Amazon, it has become the most pre-ordered title on the site since the final instalment of Harry Potter.

The novel will be Lee’s first new book in over 50 years since the release of the bestselling To Kill A Mockingbird.

Earlier this year, People magazine published a first look at the cover for the new book with Harper Collins president Michael Morrison stating, “it was hard to pick just one iconic image to represent the book”.
