As the saying goes a picture can paint a thousand words and so an artist decided to use iconic Disney princesses to create a powerful awareness campaign.
The artist from the Saint Hoax website used familiar Disney characters to highlight the issue of domestic abuse.
In an interview with the
Huffington Post the artist described his inspiration for the project:"By portraying Disney princesses as victims of domestic violence, I'm proposing the idea that no girl/woman is safe from being emotionally/physically/sexually abused."
"As a Middle Eastern artist, I always have the urge to voice out the injustice and inequality that takes place in my region."
"Victims of abuse are not alone and it's never too late for them to take a stand," he added.

This is not the first time the artist has used familiar Disney characters in order to highlight a very important issue.
Last month we posted his project titled
'Princest Diaries', an awareness campaign targeting minors who have been subject to sexual abuse by a family member.
"The aim of the poster series is to encourage victims to report their cases in order for the authorities to prevent it from happening again,” the artist explained on the website.
