If there’s one thing Ryan O’Shaughnessy is good at it’s jerking at the heartstrings of teenage girls everywhere.
First, it was those heartbreaking lyrics telling the story of unrequited love in ‘No Name’ and now he has revealed that he is inspired by his 80 year old grandparents.
According to The Irish Daily Star Ryan said: “I love to write about my nana and granddad. About the little bickering that they do but they are still madly in love and they’re in their 80s or whatever.”

Ryan competed in Britain's Got Talent earlier this year
The singer is preparing to release some new material after Christmas and is writing songs like wildfire.
“At the moment I’m trying to keep writing and hopefully get another EP out maybe after Christmas. Just working hard because that’s what it’s all about.
Ryan will be 20 next month but said he doesn’t feel as young as his friends and revealed he feels like he is “going on 50.”
The Malahide singer told The Irish Independent what fans can expect from the latest album.
“It’s raw, acoustic. I actually asked the producer not to fix any imperfections, so that it’s more natural with a live feel.

“Lyrically all the songs are quite personal, which really exposes me as a person and not just as a singer and a writer,” he said.
