‘Tis the season to be jolly tra la la la la la la la la.
Eight years on and the Galway Christmas markets are still thriving as one of the best this country has to offer.
With over 50 stalls to choose from selling an arrange of Christmas favourites like mulled wine and roasted chestnuts to more typical stall favourites like tasty burgers and chocolatey crepes. It is a foodie’s paradise.
Going from food to gifts, the stalls also have a wide range of hand-crafted Christmas decorations, stockings, jewellery and art.
This year’s markets will also see the return of the big wheel, carol singing, live music performances and street performers as well as the main man himself, Santa.
The market opens this Friday, November 17 in Galway’s Eyre Square and runs until December 22, 2017.
This year is expected to be bigger and better than every before and we are only buzzing to get down there for a weekend away.
