It’s one of the most talked about books in recent memory – and we’re still a number of months away from its release.

The world rejoiced in early February when it was revealed that Harper Lee, the author responsible for beloved classic To Kill A Mockingbird, was to publish another novel 55 years after the release of her 1960 bestseller.

Today, PEOPLE magazine has published the first look at the jacket design for the eagerly anticipated Go Set A Watchman.

A spokesman for publishing house HarperCollins explained that the jacket was intended to evoke the iconic look of the author’s previous work.

HarperCollins president Michael Morrison said: “It draws on the style of the decade the book was written”, adding “it was hard to pick just one iconic image to represent the book.”

Two million copies of Go Set A Watchman will be printed ahead of the book’s July 14th publication date.
