Love/Hate is one of the great success stories from RTE and the fact that they are currently repeating the entire series on RTE2 has made everyone in Her.ie towers very happy. However, we did get to a point where we began to worry, are we watching too much Love/Hate? Here are fifteen signs you might be...
1. You don't use banks
You don't NEED banks. You have decking on your back lawn with a plank that moves and underneath this you store all of your money. And drugs.
2. Joyriding
You have an old car out the front that you need to sell or get scrapped but you have a sudden overwhelming urge to drive it around a dumping ground.
3. You have nicknames for your friends
And we're not talking Becs or Ali... No, we have started calling our friends Pottsie, Nidge or other variations of the above. If you are a gangster, you must have a nickname.
4. You owe everyone money
But mostly your really scary "boss".
5. You imagine going on the run
Where would you go to? Why does everyone go to London? Is there no law enforcement there?
6. You make trust funds
With everyone dying around you, you start to wonder about your own mortality. You should really set up a trust fund for that kid you never really see.
7. You consider hiring a hitman
When you were having that coffee today, your co-worker really annoyed you. They must be snitching on you to the boss. That's it, you're hiring a hitman.
8. You start using a thick Dublin accent
And using phrases like "ah, here" and "you're bleeding joking me".
9. You develop a strong dependency on one piece of clothing
And it MUST be a leather jacket.
10. You begin to wonder are you an extra...
Whenever you walk in a dodgy part of town, you will begin to wonder are you going to be spotted in the background of the latest episode.
11. You develop a strong attraction to Nidge
But you have no idea why.
12. You lose all morals
When your mother begins to shout "why don't they just kill that guy?", you know that the show has really taken over your life.
13. You become scared of everyday routines
Well, if they know what I am doing every day, they are definitely going to whack me. I'm the rat. I'M THE RAT!
14. You begin listening to a lot more rap music
And strutting around the place like people owe you a lot of money.
15. You dream about hiding guns
But you don't own a gun. Maybe we should take a break...
