Facebook seriously.
First, there was the news that the social media giant will start to track people who don’t even use the site and soon, some of your photos could be deleted from your profile.
Here’s the story behind this change, that could easily happen without you even noticing…until you go and look for a specific photo that is.
According to The Verge, the change has to do with the fact that a photo syncing feature was recently removed from Facebook’s main mobile app.
This syncing tool could automatically upload photos from your phone to a private album on Facebook but that feature has now been taken away and installed into the Facebook Moments app.
It’s believed that an email sent to a Facebook user, spotted on Tech Crunch, said that unless Moments is downloaded or the photos are downloaded to a computer by the user, they will be deleted.
This only applied to the photos automatically synced not the ones you have personally uploaded but it’s important to be aware of the change all the same.
With this Facebook user, it happened without her even realising.

The change comes into effect on July 7th so if you have previously enabled the photo sync feature, you know what to do.
