Dublin man to give away his €20,000 car for 100,000 Instagram followers

A Dublin businessman is chancing his luck at Insta fame.

Martin Eastwood, who has previously appeared on First Dates Ireland has decided to run a competition on his Instagram account whereby he's willing to give away his car for followers on the app. Martin is hoping to gain over 94,000 more followers in the next month and if he does so, he is promising to give away his €20,000 Mercedes car to one person.

"I am giving you 30 days to get my profile to 100k followers. Once we hit that number by 13th May, I am giving away my Mercedes-Benz to one of you! The car is valued at way over €20,000... that’s a deposit off a house," Martin writes.

The mechanic, which is simple, asks followers to tag four friends as well as following Martin on Instagram and reposting his news to their story. A brave deal many would say but, Martin is clearly adamant to boost his social following and is very aware that it doesn't come easy. So far, Martin has reached just over 6,000 followers and hopes to see his account steadily grow in the next 30 days.
