We've got to say, even with the answer we're struggling! A maths problem has left the internet stumped this week after it appeared online over the weekend. Initially, it was thought the logic question was designed for primary school students, but the Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad have clarified the matter, stating it was a question for secondary school students. The problem that has the internet stumped. “[It] is actually a question from the Sec 3 and from the Sec 4 SASMO (Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad) contests held on Apr 8, 2015,” a statement read. “This is a difficult question meant to sift out the better students.” In case you are still scratching your head, here it is explained another way: Cheryl tells Albert the month that she is born – either May, June, July or August - while she tells Bernard the day’s number, either 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 or 19.
