Yes it’s a real thing, and yes you can order one.
The brainchild of Zander Whitehurst, the B3D Head is a 3D printed sex toy in the shape of a head. That head, naturally, can be of your choosing. So if you’d like to pay homage to a male or female partner with a sex aid bearing their visage or you’d prefer a printable Ryan Gosling between your legs, the choice is yours.
Speaking to Refinery 29, Whitehurst said: “The original idea was targeting long-distance relationships.”
“I, myself, was in a long-distance relationship at the time, during my master’s. One of the courses was something called teledildonics.”
During that course, Whitehurst learned about computer-controlled sex toys and inspired his product.
So, how can you get your hands (and other parts) on one? Simply send a series of photos of your head to B3D HEAD using the company’s website, or scan the measurements in, and you can create a two-inch-wide, one-inch-deep model of your head that contains a Bullet-style vibrator.
A word of warning though: you may have a wait in store. Though Zander has created some successful prototypes, he’s hoping to launch the company properly in time for Valentine’s Day 2015.
