Women are being warned about a potentially fatal yeast infection

Cases have been found in the US and UK

Despite your career or earnings, it’s fair to say that a good bill of health is your wealth.

It’s a scary time being a woman in 2016, even with all the medication we can avail of freely and easily. We’re still given health warnings daily – whether it be advising to look for signs of obesity, infertility or cancer.

This week, women everywhere have been warned to take extra care of their vaginal health following reports of a deadly yeast infection which is resistant to drugs.

The infection – known as Candida Auris – was first found in Japan in 2009 but carried to countries such as Kuwait, South Korea, South Africa, Venezuela, India, Pakistan, Colombia, the US, and cases have been recently found now in the UK.

What makes the infection harder to treat is the fact that it can live on the urinary and respiratory tracts.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Preventionwomen should be extra wary of their vaginal health down there as the Candida Auris bacteria is hard to identify in standard laboratories, and can cause outbreaks in hospitals and other healthcare areas.

If left untreated, the Candida Auris virus can cause infections of the ears, wounds and the bloodstream, and eventually cause death. While cases of the infection have been found in the UKthe virus has not been given emergency status but easy steps can be taken by all women to prevent yeast infections.

Women can make sure to keep their nether regions in squeaky clean and free from infections by not wearing underwear to bedand using pH balanced soaps to gently wash your flower.
