Watching these types of shows could be the reason you can’t lose weight

While we all know that too much time in front of the TV is not good for you, we never really thought about how certain shows can be worse than others.

A recent survey by Forza surveyed 1000 dieters and asked them what they consider the most effective way to lose weight.

The most popular answer was to weigh yourself every day to keep track of it. (we’re not sure about this one though, as your weight on the scales is determined by many factors, not just ‘fat’)

However, interestingly the second most popular answer was to turn off cooking and baking shows. They surveyors reckon that shows like The Great British Bake Off with recipes, images of food and general focus on eating can be harmful when it comes to weight loss.

Using smaller plates and taking photos of yourself topless were the other most popular answers.

It is important to remember that this was based on a survey and a matter of personal opinion, there has been no major medical study which says that turning off Bake Off is the best option, but it is still very interesting to note that it might make us only more temped to eat a few buns after watching an episode.
