The study, which was published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology shows that standing more often could fight weight gain that comes with being sedentary.
Researchers looked at a total of 46 studies, which had more than 1,180 participants. They found that when women stand more throughout the day, they burn 0.1 calories per minute more than sitting.
It seems like nothing, but don't lose faith, it all adds up. According to the researchers, standing for six out of 24 hours a day would help a 10 stone person burn an extra 54 calories per day.
