You were the one who didn't care about having the odd treat. You loved your bit of cake on a Friday and you always laughed at the people who got up to go to the gym.
But then you decided to lose some weight and just take your fitness a little bit more seriously and now, well now you are just basically a fitness freak. How did this happen?
1. You now give out to people for eating chocolate.
You were more than happy to finish an entire box of chocolates by yourself, but now? Now you give that judgemental look to anyone who eats even a square of a Dairy Milk.
2. You are up every morning at 6am to start training.
When you saw 6am on your watch if you woke up in the middle of the night, you used to just roll over and think, I have a couple of hours left before I have to get up. But now? You are up BEFORE the alarm and out training before you can think about it.
3. You now REALLY stick to your treat day.
Friday is treat day now, there are no other exceptions to this.
4. You call an apple a "treat."
Time for a treat! I am just going to have a look through my bag for this... apple! WOO an apple!
5. You haven't seen a takeaway menu for months.
If people come over for a movie night, you now have to spend a considerable amount of time looking for a takeaway menu. You used to keep them under your pillow.
6. You wear runners more than you wear actual shoes.
It's just easier that way. It means you don't have to change as often now. BORN READY!
7. Weekends now mean "rest days."
No sorry, I can't go out this weekend. I'm actually on a rest day. Sorry, who am I? WHO AM I?
8. You suddenly have a "training playlist."
Your playlist used to be filled with all sorts of depressing music, but now? Now you listen to the Spice Girls. Constantly. And dance music. You hate dance music. What happened?
9. You start to challenge yourself with more training.
Well, you've mastered the running, so why not move on to the swimming? You could maybe complete a triathlon by the end of the month. We're not sure what happened either.
10. You being to think you can exercise rather than sitting on the couch...
That guilt, that terrible guilt of watching Eastenders. Sure, I have my exercise bike here. I'll just hop on that while I'm watching a bit of TV.
11. Your physio is suddenly a friend.
You spend more time with the physio than you do with any of your friends due to various injuries from training. You're just going to call her a friend, it might be easier. Then you can technically say you have seen your friends.
