Trying to get a good night's sleep is difficult when you suffer from anxiety.
You try to go to bed at a reasonable hour but your mind and the worries whizzing around it keep you awake until the early hours of the morning.
I've never slept well and often relied on coffee to keep me functioning during the day.
After the Christmas break, my sleeping pattern was worse than ever before. I was suffering from night terrors and getting a handful of hours of sleep. I felt drained and fed up so decided to start taking supplements to see if they would help.
The girls at work were often praising the benefits of Ashwagandha so I was keen to try it out to see if it could help my mental well-being. It promises to ease anxiety and low mood, as well as improve your sleep.
I was recently sent the Revive Activ Calm Capsules and they contained both Ashwagandha and Magnesium so I decided to trial them for a month.
I hoped they'd improve my sleep ever so slightly. All I wanted was a few hours of undisturbed sleep, but the difference they made was pretty incredible.
The Calm supplements are scientifically formulated to support your relaxation and well-being. The supplements feature twelve powerful ingredients including well-researched plant extracts, core essential vitamins, and highly bioavailable Magnesium Bisglycinate.
I took two Calm supplements every evening and started to notice a difference after three weeks. My night terrors finally stopped, which was something I never thought I'd be able to control.
My mind wasn't overthinking half as much before trying the supplements. I wasn't spending hours with intrusive thoughts keeping me awake and it was such a relief.
Falling asleep without a mind of whizzing and panicked thoughts felt alien to me but it was a welcome change. I thought the supplements may have helped a tiny bit but didn't expect them to change my sleeping pattern as much as they did.
Not only am I sleeping better than before, but I'm also not feeling as anxious as I was after the Christmas break.
Obviously, many other factors impact my anxiety like my alcohol intake, life stresses, and how much caffeine I'm consuming, but I do feel like the supplements have made a notable difference in my overall mood.
Calm is a two-capsule daily dose supplement featuring research-backed doses of plant extracts, Lemon Balm, Ashwagandha, L-theanine, and Saffron with essential vitamins for mood, relaxation, and nervous system support.
