Looks like we’ve been going to the toilet the wrong way all along!
Say hello to the Squatty Potty, a special device that revolutionises the way we go to the loo – that’s right, by squatting instead of sitting.
Developed by the Edwards family of St. George, Utah, the potty is an interesting stepping stool designed for the bathroom.
“The modern day toilet is convenient, but has one major fault; it requires us to sit. While sitting to do our business may be considered “civilized”, studies show the natural squat position improves our ability to eliminate” they say.
According to its creators by using the potty you can relieve constipation, end haemorrhoids, improve colon health, allow for easier and faster elimination and suffer from less straining and bloating.
