Here’s the one place in your body you should never pierce

It looks PRETTY painful.

Getting tattoos and piercings seems to be a trend that is only growing, with younger and younger people queueing up to go under the needle to change up their look. Many celebrities and bloggers influence their fans greatly with their inking choices, with Cara Delevingne being one celebrity in particular who is fond of a tattoo or two. The British model slightly divided public opinion with her latest tattoo which features two eyes at the back of her neck, which form some kind of optical illusion. FREAKY.

Whether your piercing or tattoo is inspired by your favourite celebrity or not, there's a whole host of lists on the internet telling you the do's and dont's detailing the before and after of getting a procedure done. According to Bustle, there's one place you shouldn't get pierced as a tattooing expert has warned against it. TJ Cantwell, a tattooist from Studio 28 warned people against getting

"Here at Studio 28 Tattoos we have one piercing that we refuse to do. It is typically called a snake bite piercing.... "It is a curved barbell put through the tip of the tongue. It is incredibly unsafe to have this piercing. "You might have seen this type of piercing; from a distance, it looks like two separate piercings on the tip of the tongue, but it's actually one piece of jewelry that spans across two 'holes.'"

He explained the damage that this snakebite piercing can do to your mouth

"It binds together the 2 muscles that make up the tongue so they cannot move independently. "The jewellery itself sits on the back of the teeth. It is almost guaranteed that the client will see gum erosion, cracking/chipping of the teeth, and migration/rejection of the piercing leaving a nasty looking scar."

While the piercing does look pretty, we're not going to disobey TJ as we're sure he knows what he's talking about.
