Lecturer Yoshihiko Koga at Kyorin University in Japan published a study which said that a scoop of ice cream in the morning gives you a mental boost and makes you more alert.
The soothing feeling of ice cream on both the body and the mind also showed that levels of mental irritation were much lower, meaning less bad moods and crankiness after waking up.
Because of the coldness of ice cream, professor Koga tested the levels of mental stimulation after ice cream against the mind of someone after drinking cold water - but found that post-ice cream mental stimulation was far higher.
