At its heart, Bee Pink® is an awareness programme aimed at Pink Lady® growers. In partnership with Tesco, the project is centred around achieving the best orchard practices and protecting the bees that are responsible for the delicious produce that we all love. This is achieved through awareness days and the creation and distribution of a guide that contains technical knowledge, research, regulations and advice.
The success of this partnership lies both in the hive’s healthy development for the beekeeper and the respect of the apple grower’s needs. Together they decide on the conditions that will best facilitate the bee’s work. This partnership is all about the conservation of bees in orchards so that they can continue to do their job to deliver the best quality fruit to the masses.
So, how can you help? Head over to the Bee Pink webpage, play the simple game on the site and enter your details to sponsor a local beehive. It's free of charge and in return you'll receive some delectable promotional goodies.
The bees will be highly appreciative!
Brought to you by Pink Lady®, proud to support FIBKA.
