On Saturday afternoon, the Harcourt Street hotspot confirmed on Facebook: "This is not a drill. Pink Gin is now available in Coppers."
And understandably, a load of fans (of both the Dublin 2 venue and of the rose-hued tipple) were pretty ecstatic at the announcement.
"My life is complete, this is where my money will go," stated one fan - echoing the sentiments of many. Although one lady did highlight that the Coppers decour should be taken into consideration: "Sure the feckin lights are red it'll only freak drunk me out!"
Recently, Her furthermore discovered that Galway's only gin-bar, Tigh Nora, was in stock of pink gin.
Unveiling the limited-edition bottle in August, the brand said in a statement: "Inspired by an original Gordon’s recipe from the 1880s, the pink gin is perfectly crafted to balance the refreshing taste of Gordon’s with the natural sweetness of raspberries and strawberries, with the tang of redcurrant served up in a unique blushing tone.
"Made using only natural fruit flavours to guarantee the highest quality real berry taste." Don't forget too that the company is still looking for a pink gin ambassador - and Gordon's wants to pay him or her a €30,000 salary for their trouble. The gig involves driving around in a company car promoting the gin, meeting clients, and basically having a good time. The job is based in Bristol but it sounds like such a DREAM we would relocate pretty much anywhere for it. Otherwise, the Her team recently tried out pink gin and prosecco spritzers... and suffice to say our lives will never be the same again. Please drink responsibly. See drinkaware.ie.
