Sketch, London Sketch is a quirky 18th-century townhouse tearoom that transforms into a cocktail lounge every evening. A firm favourite among Instagram-seeking travel bloggers, Sketch is famous for its unusual interiors and brilliant food. Their afternoon tea is a real treat but you can't book it in advance so be prepared to wait.

Burj Khalifa, Dubai Afternoon tea in the tallest restaurant in the world? Don't mind if we do. The high tea in the Burj Khalifa screams luxury from the moment you walk in. Guests are treated to a three-course afternoon tea with all the trimmings. As you can imagine, the Burj Khalifa is rather pricey but it is worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime experience and those amazing views over Dubai.

The Ritz-Carlton is famous all over the world for its high-end accommodation but the hotel also does a fantastic afternoon tea, complete with warm scones, shrimp sandwiches, and red velvet cakes. YUM!
