Want to unlock your potential?

Her

Are you looking to boost your productivity levels in 2015? Or have you got something important coming up that you’d like some help preparing for? Well look no further!

We’re giving away two tickets to an upcoming Berocca Brain Boost Seminar, an inspirational talk with Jim Lawless who’s spoken to, and helped, half a million people globally. Jim will speak about training your brain to be the best it can be in life and at work.

kind of a big deal

Some of Jim’s record-breaking achievements include training himself to become a competitive jockey in just 12 months having had no idea how to ride a horse and becoming Britain’s deepest free diver having dived below the 100m barrier on a single breath of air!

Here’s a snippet of some of the top motivational tips the lucky winner can expect to hear from Jim at the talk:

Stop planning (or just dreaming) and do something

Don’t sell your house or quit your job just yet, but do the next boldest thing you can think of. Wherever we are in our lives, we’re generally “in a rut” of acting comfortably. The Bold Act gets us out of the act and gets us started on the new path. It creates a change. It gets us meeting new people. It’s like jumping into the pool instead of wondering whether it’ll be cold. We’ve been taught to “get it right” – but there is no “right” for what you are planning, just the best you can do. Start it.

Write down the reasons why it can’t be done

That’s right – why it cannot be done. Just ‘thinking positive’ by itself never got anything done. Let’s get real here. Then go through them carefully one by one and ask if you could defend these statements in an interview with a really hard TV Journalist. Ask a friend to play the journalist if you wish. What you’ll usually find is that you can’t defend any of them. They are a bunch of assumptions and excuses to stay safe from facing some tough choices and hard work. Once you’ve got rid of these reasons – do something!

Tell other people the goal

Yes, I know. I don’t like that part either. If others know the goal, then they’ll know when I fail, right? Right. That’s the point. We’re trying to build motivation to take bold steps and work hard – to change things for the better in our lives. If that was easy, everybody would be doing it. And they are not. It’s not easy – but it is doable. You have read this far – so perhaps you will do it. Telling others makes the pain of flaking bigger for you. And that’s motivating. Tell your enemies if you really want to motivate yourself through the tough days of change before the glorious moment of victory!

The event will take place on Thursday February 26 at 6.30pm in The Science Gallery in Dublin city centre.
